Student Storage

1. Storage Charges All storage charges are payable in advance wit a £20 deposit  unless agreed prior  The minimum storage period is 8 weeks. After this initial period, storage is charged on a weekly basis. If you choose to terminate your storage period before the agreed end date, no refund of storage charges will be given.
2. Payment Methods We accept payment by credit or debit card or cash. Payment can be made online through our website or over the phone.
3. Storage Limits The maximum weight limit per box is 25kg. We reserve the right to refuse to store any item that we deem to be unsuitable for storage. This includes items that are illegal, hazardous, dangerous, or perishable.
4. Access to Storage Facility Access to our storage facility is strictly by appointment only. To arrange an appointment, please contact us by phone or email.
5. Insurance We recommend that you take out your own insurance to cover your belongings while they are in storage. However, we do provide insurance cover for your belongings while they are in our care. Our insurance cover is limited to a maximum of £50 per box. Please contact us for more information.
6. Termination of Storage Agreement You may terminate your storage agreement by giving us at least seven days' notice in writing. We reserve the right to terminate the storage agreement at any time by giving you at least seven days' notice in writing.
7. Liability We accept no liability for loss or damage to your belongings while they are in storage. You are responsible for ensuring that your belongings are adequately packed and protected.
8. Changes to Terms and Conditions We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be published on our website and will apply to all storage agreements from the date of publication.
9. Governing Law These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Shipping we sometimes use courier services when this happens we are bound by courier terms & conditions this means that insurance cover is set by the courier service this is usually £50 per/bag/box total loss only Shipping labels must be taped all around bags & boxes. we cant be held responsible for labels that are not secured all the way around and fall of resulting in lost items. Insurance can be adjusted by calling stuff2move before shipping is booked.

These Shipping Terms & Conditions apply to all domestic and international shipments arranged through Exeter Student Storage.

1. Shipping Boxes

We provide free shipping boxes within Exeter, or we can send packing boxes anywhere in the UK upon request. Boxes supplied remain the property of Exeter Student Storage until used for an active shipment.

2. Prohibited Items

We maintain a comprehensive list of prohibited items. Any prohibited items found in a shipment will be disposed of unless we receive written instructions stating otherwise. The customer is responsible for checking the prohibited‑items list before packing. See: prohibited items

3. Customs, Duties & Import Fees

Exeter Student Storage is not responsible for any customs charges, import duties, taxes, or additional fees applied by destination countries. These costs must be paid by the recipient. Learn about customs duties

4. Delays & External Disruptions

While we work with reliable couriers, delays can occur due to factors outside our control, including but not limited to weather events, courier backlogs, industrial action, or international conflicts. Exeter Student Storage cannot be held liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control. More on shipping delays

5. Insurance & High‑Value Shipments

We strongly advise customers to obtain shipping insurance.

Any shipment valued over £500 is considered a high‑value shipment.

We can ship personal items up to £2,500 in a single shipment.

For cover above this amount, we can arrange two separate shipments, each with a combined value under £5,000. Explore shipping insurance

6. Payment Terms

All shipping fees must be paid in full prior to dispatch. Shipments will not be released to couriers until payment is confirmed. See payment policies

7. Courier Services

We use trusted international couriers for overseas shipments and may use third‑party courier partners for UK deliveries. Courier selection is based on destination, service level, and operational requirements. Learn about courier partners

8. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

Ensuring all items are securely packed

Providing accurate shipping information

Declaring the correct value of items

9. Liability

Exeter Student Storage is not liable for:

Loss or damage resulting from improper packing

Delays caused by couriers, customs, or global events

Costs related to import duties or customs clearance

Disposal of prohibited items found in shipments
